With a target structure defined the tools to access and extract your data can be created. To do this Orion Group uses the Socket Toolset. Developed in house, this toolkit allows Orion Group use your data as a data source for new or existing programs or even translate your database into a new database on nearly any platform.

The Socket Toolset, while simply a means to a end, is an excellent way for you to begin development on your new GUI or Web Interface using the HPe3000 as a data source. Even more importantly, when the time comes to leave the HPe3000 completely behind and continue using the newly developed GUI or Web Interface all that is needed is a simple change of datasource after exporting the data to the new database.
